Organizing transfers from the airport to your ski property in the Alps has got easier thanks to the launch of a new website that matches travellers’ specific needs with local transfer and taxi firms, allowing them to find the best prices and service before flying. has developed a system that allows local companies to advertise fantastic last-minute fares, as well as great deals on shared transfers. The website means skiers and owners of ski homes in the Alps get the best price on transfers, but it also helps local transfer companies to fill empty vehicles, which has obvious environmental benefits for the local environment.

Dia Barrett, Managing Director of FindTransfers said: “We launched last year [2012] as a new service that helps skiers find the best deals for getting from the airport to the Alps. In less than a year we’ve had over 4,000 transfer requests and many happy users. The process couldn’t be simpler: travellers fill out their desired journey details online which is then sent to a number of local companies who operate transfers on that route. These companies will then get in touch via email with their best no-obligation quote.

Continued Barrett: “We quickly realised that a private transfer is not a viable option for solo travellers and came up with our shared transfers feature. The benefits of sharing transfers go beyond the economic and environmental. The first few hours in a foreign country can be quite daunting. Sharing your journey from the airport is a great way to meet new people and the journey can go so much quicker when you have someone to chat to.”
