This is especially true for properties in desirable resorts and ski areas. So, that being said, what are our top five ski-in ski-out properties for sale?

Two Ski Apartments, Courchevel Moriond

Located on the newly developed Front de Neige of Courchevel Moriond, these apartments are located in a block of four apartments. Only two of the four are still for sale, and they sit just off the piste du Belvedere. The two remaining apartments have two and three bedrooms, open plan kitchens, and very spacious living areas.

We love these because of the superb location, the access to the full 650km of slopes in the Three Valleys ski area, and the lively town of Moriond on the doorstep. Rond des Pistes Apartments, Meribel

These apartments, located as they are in the high altitude and exclusive Rond des Pistes area of Meribel, are a rare gem in the Meribel Valley. The resort itself is very popular amongst families and young professional skiers alike. The Rond des Pistes area has recently undergone a huge renovation that transformed many of the old hotels into apartments.

This is one of the last hotels to be redesigned, and therefore there’s a great selection of shops, bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. As most of the neighbourhood has already been sold, you don’t need to worry about construction noise either. When it comes to ski-in ski-out property for sale, there are very few options quite like this one.

If that wasn’t enough, these apartments also come with some great on-site facilities including spa and wellness, concierge, and golfing services, as well as a games room for the kids. We recommend moving fast with this one though because ski-in ski-out property for sale in Meribel is incredibly unusual!

Front de Neige Apartments, Les Gets

Sitting right in the centre of Les Gets, these apartments range from small studios to luxury five-bedroom properties. The pretty mountain village of Les Gets is only an hour from Geneva, making these apartments perfect for anyone hoping to make the hop from the big city to the slopes on the weekends. When it comes to ski-in ski-out property for sale in Les Gets, these are great!

As one of the only Front de Neige developments in Les Gets, these apartments are only metres from the main Morzine/Les Gets ski lifts and you can ski right from the door of the building’s ski room.

When it comes to snow-sure skiing, the immediate Les Gets area is a little lower than you might want, but it’s linked via the Portes du Soleil ski area to high, snow-sure Avoriaz. Handily, the slightly lower altitude makes this a popular resort during the summer season too, with mountain bikers coming from around the Alps to take advantage of the routes between Morzine and Les Gets.

Piste-side Penthouse, Morzine

Admittedly, in terms of ski-in ski-out property for sale, this one is a little bit of a stretch. It’s only ski-in, with a four-minute walk to the main lifts on the way out in the mornings. However, given the rarity of ski-in property at all in Morzine, we’re including it on our top five. Morzine is a larger ski town, and often property for sale is set back in the hills. That this one is right by the side of the Pleney Piste is a rarity.

This is a four-bedroom, duplex penthouse in a popular winter and summer destination. It’s great for families, with an easy walk to ski school in the mornings. If you’re not buying with children in mind, this penthouse is slap bang in the middle of Morzine, so you’ll be in a great spot to take advantage of the lively nightlife that the town offers during both the winter and summer seasons.

Ski-in Ski-out Chalets, Praz-sur-Arly

While the other picks on our top five have been located in popular, well-known ski resorts, this is our wildcard of the bunch. So where you might ask, is Praz-sur-Arly?

A smaller ski resort with pretty Alpine charm, Praz-sur-Arly is in the Espace Diamant ski area. It’s the centre of some huge development at the moment, making it a great option if you’re looking for increasing returns on your investment. For starters, there are plans in the works to link Praz-sur-Arly to Les Contamines, which will increase the ski area by another 170 km once the lift is completed.

If that wasn’t enough, Praz-sur-Arly is redeveloping its’ Front de Neige, Centre-Ville, and ski area with a huge 62 million cash injection. The chalets themselves are finished to a high standard, with five bedrooms and excellent amenities. They’re only going to up in value with the redevelopment of the resort, and the price per square meterage is great.
